Since yesterday, the rain has been pouring down. 🌧️ It pours like crazy, then eases up, and just when you think it’s over, you hear the patter again on the window frame. I only glance outside occasionally, but I can’t help but think about the person behind the rain, who might have been working tirelessly throughout the night, like a radio DJ hosting a marathon. 🎶
‘Played a fun track, how about something chill next?’
‘Didn’t a new album drop from a rookie group last week?’
‘Why is this group suddenly blowing up on social media?’
‘Oh right, I promised to play this track over drinks the other day.’ 🍻
Of course, the DJ probably started with a playlist from the music radio writer, but live broadcasts have a way of going off script. Depending on the vibe or the DJ’s mood, they might confirm the next track every 4 minutes. While listeners may let the songs drift by like a breeze, to the one choosing and playing the tracks, this moment is their entire universe. 🌌
After breakfast, with nothing much to do, I stared out the window for a while. Two days in a row, and the rain was starting to feel a bit monotonous. The sky was clearing up, and puddles on the ground showed no more raindrops. Playing music for over 24 hours isn’t easy. But suddenly, the sky darkened again, and the rain poured down like crazy. It was like a DJ suddenly remembering something important and rushing to play a track before the show ends. 🎧
