‘Is this even possible?’
Yet, surely this happened inside my pocket. I carefully wound up my perfectly fine earphone cables and tucked them into my pocket in the morning. But when I took them out, they were so tangled that I couldn’t even unravel them in under five minutes. Even if earphone cables could move on their own, this would be impossible! Even a hardcore masochist couldn’t consciously tie themselves up to this extent.
It looks like a cry for help!
Maybe it happened in the morning when I briefly placed my coat to the side while doing something else. Perhaps a third party, skilled in cat’s cradle, sneakily took out the earphones and creatively tangled them before putting them back in my pocket. Honestly, I can’t think of any other explanation.
Confronted with this bizarre phenomenon that defies logical explanation, I suddenly understood Gorgias’ skepticism about existence: ‘Existence isn’t real, and even if it were, it can’t be perceived; and even if it can, it can’t be explained.’ Did he perhaps have a similar experience? 🤔
But back then, there surely weren’t any earphones….
