I’ve been rocking my Apple Watch for quite a while now—over 8 years since its debut! People often ask me, ‘What’s so great about the Apple Watch?’ and honestly, besides checking the time, I haven’t used it for much else. It’s like when a kid asks, ‘What’s cool about being an adult?’ and you’re left fumbling for an answer. You don’t want to disappoint the hopeful eyes staring back at you. 😅
Weirdly, despite its new releases, I never felt the urge to upgrade my Apple Watch. Yet, when it’s gone, I feel like something’s missing, prompting a new purchase like it’s a pair of socks or gloves. Recently, in a rush, I dropped it, shattering the glass. 😩 So, it was time for a replacement. While browsing online, I stumbled upon a YouTube video about changing the Apple Watch screen. This person had a glass mishap much worse than mine, yet they managed to fix it like magic using liquid optical adhesive. 🛠️
After watching the ten-minute video, I felt inspired. I’ve always been good with my hands. As a kid, I was the master of scissors—left-handed, which worried some, but still! I could build model kits flawlessly and never understood how others struggled. It made me wonder if they had nerves in their fingertips. 🤔 I even apply screen protectors perfectly, and seeing others’ crooked or dusty jobs would bother me. It made me worry if they could even manage to eat properly. With my skills, I felt confident about fixing my watch myself, so I ordered the adhesive and glass. 😎
The order arrived yesterday, and I was ready for action. I grabbed the package, tidied up my desk, and laid out my tools and parts. For extra focus, I turned on more lights and even got tweezers ready—though my hands would probably suffice. After all, even tigers give their best when catching rabbits! 🐯
Finally, the moment of truth—time for the big swap! I took my Apple Watch out from the drawer and prepared to carefully remove the screen I had hastily attached earlier. 💪
