The Expiration Date of Fall Outfits

It started raining this morning. Rain visited us a few days ago too, but today felt different. As I stepped out into the drizzle, I thought to myself, ‘No more hot days this year.’ 🌧️ The weather may seem unpredictable, but there’s always a clear line you can’t cross back. Just like a digital clock ticking from 11:59 AM to 12:00 PM.

Click.

And just like that, it changes. It’s like a flash going off in your mind, and you just know. ‘Summer’s really over now.’ Feeling warmth from outside won’t be possible until spring arrives again. From today, no more stepping out in just a tee,

no more lounging on sun-baked beaches,
or taking showers in cold water. ☀️

And once you hear that ‘click’ in your mind again,

it’s the season to fire up the indoor heaters,
turn on the car’s heater by default,
and clutch a hot pack in your pocket while walking. 🔥

Before that – even if the weather’s a bit tricky – it’s time to move smartly and pull out those trench coats or leather jackets of uncertain thickness you had dry-cleaned. If you wait for the perfect chilly day to match your outfit, winter will sneak up on you before you know it. Trust me, I’ve been caught out before. 🍂

Remember, fall outfits only last as long as petals dance in the breeze before settling on the ground.
