My friend was frustrated because their laptop kept showing weird messages and rebooting. Luckily, they managed to capture the message, so we could tackle it together. There are countless reasons like grains of sand on the beach for a kernel panic, but from the error message, I could think of a few potential solutions. I gave some advice and said we should see if the problem persists. Then, my friend slowly spoke up.
‘It’s so simple, yet I know nothing about it.’
– It’s okay. Not everyone can know these things so easily.
‘No way. If there’s even one person in the world who doesn’t know this, it’s probably me.’
– That’s not true. Most people wouldn’t know.
‘I feel so ridiculous.’
– That’s not it at all.
….
…It’s not about blaming you for what you don’t know, but appreciating that I happen to know it…
I bit my tongue to keep from saying it.
