I’m usually the type who’s just flipping through life without any solid interests, but lately, some content keeps popping up in my mind or I keep coming back to it. Let me share with you,
Chainsaw Man (comic/animation)
Just as the name suggests, it’s about a half-human, half-demon dude with chainsaws attached to his head and arms. When he pulls the ripcord on his chest, he transforms into Chainsaw Man, slicing demons in half like a hero of justice (though I’ve only watched two episodes, so I’m not entirely sure yet). The action is brutally intense, as the title implies, but there’s something grotesquely charming about his transformed look. Especially the helmet with the chainsaw—it’s pretty awesome.

How I stumbled upon it is kind of funny. I went to see a Jungmilla concert and arrived early, so I wandered into a nearby figure shop, and it was filled with figures and posters of this character. 🤔
‘What the heck is this? Why does he have a saw on his head?’
I’ve always thought I had a vivid imagination, but a chainsaw on the head? Never would have imagined that in a million years if I hadn’t seen it. One of my friends at work is totally freaked out by the character’s bizarre look, but since he’s a hero for humanity, I wanted to clear the misunderstanding. I even tried to draw him cutely, but without eyes, he just doesn’t look cute. It’s kind of sad. 😢

By the way, I’d like to read the comic rather than watch the animation. 📚
Death Stranding (game)
This is a game by Kojima released in 2019. I like Kojima, but I didn’t even buy the game initially. After being completely mesmerized by the teaser at the 2016 TGA (The Game Awards), my expectations were sky-high, but hearing it was a ‘delivery game’ kind of deflated my excitement. A few years later, during a digital sale, I bought it along with some other stuff, but didn’t play it for another couple of years. Then I recently fired it up, and wow, it’s really fun! 🎮
While the main purpose is delivering packages, the world itself is fascinating and the physical design of the game field is impressive. To restore humanity, to mend relationships, to rebuild a supportive America, you carry and deliver stacks of cargo taller than you. In the beginning, you even walk to deliver them without any other means of transport (it was truly mind-blowing). Regardless of what others say, the story and atmosphere are top-notch.
Also, Fragile (the female protagonist, Léa Seydoux) is insanely cool. Her presence in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol was no joke, and here she’s like twice as upgraded! 🚀

These days, I deliver a few packages each evening before going to bed. I wish I could deliver as Fragile too. 🚚
ChatGPT was also a good way to kill time, and what else was there? Not much else going on, so I’m kind of bored. 🤷♂️
