Spring and Cherry Blossoms

Processed with VSCO with a5 preset

Until just yesterday, the dreary winter showed no signs of ending. I can’t even remember when it started; it felt like forever walking under the gloomy sky just to grab some lunch. 🌧️ Every morning, I’d check the temperature, yet couldn’t shed my coat. If the news announced spring had vanished forever, I’d almost believe them. Sure, it’d be sad if spring disappeared, but somewhere, some people have already lived that way. 🌎 Even when you have worries, sometimes a good comparison can make things a bit better without much effort. After all, no matter what anyone says, the universe is filled with endings. 🌌

But today, as I stepped out for a moment with my trash bag, spring stood right in front of me. 🌸

‘A little late, aren’t you?’

No apologies, of course. 😅

‘Had to prepare for the cherry blossoms…’

Was that the reason? When the cherry blossoms bloom on the tree near our apartment’s trash area, they’re so abundant they block out the sky. That’s when I find myself subtly waiting for more recycling to pile up. No matter how lovely, it feels odd to visit the trash area just to admire the blossoms. 🌸

Anyway, it seems we’ll get to enjoy the cherry blossoms this year too. 🌸
