Caught ‘The Roundup 3’. The first one was a blast, but now it feels like a seasonal treat ๐ฟ. The villain played by Lee Jun-hyuk comes off as just a crazed maniac with no depth. Sure, he’s handsome, but the lack of story is annoying. Only recommended if you’re craving Don Lee’s straightforward, no-nonsense punches. ๐
Speaking of which, the advice to always show up when you like someone is so true. Initially thought Don Lee was destined to play villains forever (sorry!), but the more I see him, the more he seems like a masterpiece actor. Just like Psy, some people never get old. His massive biceps might seem cumbersome in daily life, but that’s just my wild imagination. ๐ช

Also caught Miyazaki Hayao’s new film ‘How Do You Live?’. Kept putting it off, but finally watched it this weekend. Personally, I loved it. ๐
At first glance, it seems to follow Ghibli’s classic formula. Like ‘Laputa’ or ‘Spirited Away’, it’s the tale of a boy and girl growing through a fantastical adventure. From start to finish, the over two-hour runtime flies by. But unlike other films, I couldn’t just stand up and say ‘Great trip!’ during the end credits. Instead, I sat there, listening to Kenshi Yonezu’s ‘Globe’, lost in thought. Why did it leave me like that? ๐ถ
Oh, and the voice of the girl Himi is by Aimyon. Not much presence though… ๐คซ
