In a mundane digital world where you can stream any tune at any time, crafting such an analog story is a cool idea for subscription services to ponder, right? If Microsoft starts giving MS365 subscribers a yearly PowerPoint report, that might be a bit annoying though…

Not curious at all. Anyway, I used Melon until fall and then switched to Apple Music, so this report only covers three quarters of the year. Apple Music might have better sound quality, but I personally love the cute playlists overflowing on Melon. And sure, Apple Music’s yearly playlists bring back sweet memories too. Alright, let’s dive into this year’s report, shall we? 🎶
Here’s how it looks from the start of the year till around August. I’m quite the music lover, right? After being deeply moved by the anime Chainsaw Man, I listened to Kenshi Yonezu’s ‘Kick Back’ a ton. Still, I didn’t expect it to top my list this year.
Didn’t see this coming either. I always used ‘Take a Lap Around the Neighborhood’ as background music while cycling on weekends. This is proof I rode my bike consistently. So diligent yet so free on weekends… 😂
Anyway, we bonded. Love you, senior (Yoon Jong-shin is a high school senior). We’ve been close before, but saying we got closer might get me in trouble. (Of course, Yoon Jong-shin doesn’t know me) ❤️

Listened to quite a lot of new and different genre tracks, but the top 3 are predictably old classics. Honestly, when I got tired of the latest genre mix, I often turned to the spacious sounds of 2000s music as my healing tunes. Yoon Jong-shin’s ‘Two Breakups’ is my secret favorite. 🤫
On lazy summer afternoons, listening to Forest Malone’s ‘Sinatra’ felt like floating. So good! They say the creator of the slingback got inspired by this song. (Totally made up) 😄
After seeing The Black Skirts perform at the Pentaport Rock Festival, ‘Everything’ was in my ears for a while. But I listened to ‘With All My Heart’ even more? Can’t believe it… The weirdest part is, I have no clue about ‘All 4 Nothing’. Maybe listening will spark a memory? (Listened again and had an ‘aha’ moment) 🤔
Apparently, I liked this track, but I don’t recall pressing like. Yoon Sang’s ‘Wall’ was a track I definitely liked to boost my spirit. 💪
That album is truly the best. 🎵
The remake quality here isn’t too shabby, right? 👍
But it’s a bummer there are no new tracks. I like Winter, and there’s no aespa? I played ‘Drama’ endlessly on Apple Music. 🎧
YouTube has a similar report, but the font is so bad I can’t stand to look at it. 😖
