Love Wins All IU

Some call this the era of great disdain. 🌍 It surely doesn’t feel like a time overflowing with love. In this increasingly cold and gray world marked by visible hostility and indifference, hoping for invisible love to prevail can sometimes seem absurd. But from what I’ve experienced, hatred, even at its peak, always stands alone. Meanwhile, love, even when running away, breaking, or fading, is fiercely together. Love has a real fighting chance. πŸ’ͺ This is a tale about those who strive to love against all odds. Moreover, this album with five tracks includes two dedicated to those I love, especially my fans, and one of them is this song, Love Wins All. πŸ₯° From the day my life changed overnight at eighteen with unexpected love, not a day has passed without imagining the day it all ends. It seemed vaguely lonely, scary, and inevitable. Yet, thinking about it daily for over a decade has subtly changed my attitude. Now, it doesn’t seem so frightening. The regret or loneliness doesn’t seem overwhelming. More than anything, it doesn’t feel so near.

The reason this pessimistic and overly concerned version of me has changed so much is because, during all those years, there were always people tirelessly reassuring me. Thanks to them, I’ve never truly been alone as IU. 🎀 My diligent fans, who have never left me alone, have constantly nurtured my naturally dry heart with endless love, and for that, I am incredibly grateful. I’m also thankful for those who, for reasons still unknown to me, consistently choose to stay by my side. Just as you’ve been there for my rising and setting moments, I want to be someone who stands by you, saying, “It’s not scary. Let’s fade away in the coolest way.” πŸŒ…

IU’s new song ‘Love Wins All’ dropped yesterday. 🎢 I loved seeing IU and V in the music video, the piano intro, her crackling vocals, and the cloud-walking verse. But personally, I adored the song introduction released alongside it the most. 🌈

We live in a time where reading and writing seem rare. πŸ“š I’m not too upset about how the world changes; there’s always a reason for it. There’s no strong argument against the efficiency of receiving messages in a multi-sensory way. But I still believe in the value of sitting at a desk, penning down thoughts, or envisioning someone’s message in your mind without any distractions. The time invested in that vintage process certainly delivers more meaningful rewards. That’s a fact. πŸ–‹οΈ

That’s why I love people who read. I love those who write. After reading IU’s song introduction, I found myself liking her even more. The idea that hatred, even at its peak, is always alone, but love, even when running away, breaking, or fading, is fiercely together, struck a chord in my heart. πŸ’Œ

Living is a continuous cycle of loneliness and pain that no one can truly understand. It’s impossible. The situation can’t be resolved, and like an unwelcome guest, it keeps returning. What makes it bearable is not Solomon’s wisdom but warmth. Just having a warm shoulder to lean on can make you think, “Maybe I can overcome this.” ❀️ The love IU talks about translates to trust, empathy, and solidarity. The physical comfort of holding hands and sharing warmth will be our strongest weapon in maintaining our humanity in an AI-dominated era. 🀝

It was a bit intimidating seeing it rank number one on every streaming site, not just Melon, right after release.
