Comfort

People often say ‘It’s gonna be alright’ to offer comfort. We wish to solve problems and lend a helping hand, but when that’s not possible, we end up giving this simple reassurance. Yet, when folks say ‘It’s gonna be alright,’

both the person being comforted and the one offering comfort

often don’t know what “alright” even means. So, when you hear such comfort, you might suddenly wonder, ‘What does alright mean, really?’ As you ponder this, surprisingly – even if you don’t find an immediate answer – your mind becomes calm, and you start to view your situation more objectively. Then, you think, ‘Shall I give it a try?’ and find the strength to move forward. 💪

In these moments, a silent ‘hug’ can be more helpful, as empathy is often easier and more powerful than offering solutions. 🤗

When you think about it, humanity’s strongest weapon might not be logic, but warmth. 🔥
