The weather’s been playing mind games lately. Just when I thought it was spring, a warm breeze would surprise me, or unpredicted rain would chill me to the bone. This weather rollercoaster over the past few weeks has got me checking the forecast every morning. Not that it changes much; I’ve realized my wardrobe strategy isn’t as versatile as I’d like. I usually just throw on whatever and end up feeling a bit too warm or cold depending on the day. Wow, I’ve been living so nonchalantly… I never noticed before. But there’s a silver lining—being sensitive to the weather. You start noticing its subtleties more. Why is that a good thing, you ask? Well, it leads to reflections that add a bit of depth to life.
I remember hearing IU talk about why her album themes revolve around her age, and it totally resonated with me. Your experiences might be limited, offering little variety for creative inspiration, but age? Age changes every year, and with it, your approach to life and values evolve too, providing fresh perspectives. That’s why she prepares her albums as snapshots for herself and her fans. Adorable. 🎵
As time goes by, we create familiar spaces for ourselves and retreat into them, narrowing our scope. Only people who vibe with us remain, and we frequent the same familiar places. To break this cycle and find meaning in a life where newness is rare, we need a kaleidoscope of experiences. For IU, it’s her age; for me, it’s the weather. 🌦️
This morning, as I stepped out, I just knew it would be the perfect spring day of the year. I biked to Seoul Forest and popped into a nearby café. Even early in the morning, it was busier than usual. I took a seat by the window, watching the spring breeze play with the sunlight in the flower beds. Then, I opened a playlist I saved on YouTube titled ‘How to Enjoy Spring Perfectly.’ Before the first song, Forrest Nolan’s ‘Sinatra,’ even ended, I remembered saving it as a favorite. As the track played, everything outside slowed down. The petals, the passersby, all moving leisurely. ‘At this pace, I might be late for my appointment,’ I mused. I was lost in this musical-overlap moment when I stumbled upon a comment on the spring playlist.
Hit like, and you’ll ace every exam with A+s forever. You’ll be the best in everything, and happiness will find you, with no room for sorrow. Thank you.
No other comment had any likes, but this one had 126. I made it 127. Because everything that makes me smile deserves a nod of respect. 😊
Today, the weather is simply perfect.
