I love people who tell their stories with their presence. It’s even more touching when these moments are brief. Captivating eyes and making hearts skip a beat with just a presence is such a primal skill, right? While there are many ways to do this, music has been my enchantment since childhood. It only took three minutes to fall head over heels for a stranger. The voice that cuts straight through without barriers hits my heart directly, and my heart, which races with just a cup of coffee, is defenseless against such an attack. 🎵
As I get older, I start to recognize the tricks that make people shine, but sometimes a reality check hits hard. It was the same when I heard IU’s ‘Hold My Hand.’ The key is that those things don’t matter. Just like a lion roars or a peacock spreads its wings, there are people who approach you that way. 🦁✨
‘Titles, experience, money—none of that matters. Cut the nonsense and prove you’re real right in front of me!’ 💪
This song is amazing because you can’t dissect it into vocals, groove, instruments, or lyrics. It hypnotizes you into feeling an urge to run somewhere. Your heart races, your mind empties, and all you know is you have to run. It doesn’t matter where; just follow the lead and move fast. 🏃♀️💨
Like racing down a fire escape,
or sprinting at the start of a relay race. 🏆
There are quite a few clips of this song, but the 2019 Love, Poem tour live concert is arguably the best. Just the thought of so many people resonating with one small IU is thrilling. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a must-watch. It’s a blessing to live in the same era. 💖
It’s not people speaking to me, but my dreams serenading me; that’s IU’s ‘Hold My Hand.’ 🌌
