Can you imagine anyone not recognizing The Beatles’ Abbey Road album cover? π
The spot where the members are crossing in a line is near the St. John’s Wood station in England, right in front of the EMI Studios (back then). This iconic photo was snapped just weeks before their breakup, so you can bet there was some intriguing tension among them. Out of six photos taken in just about ten minutes, only one had all their legs forming that classic V-shape, and that became the Abbey Road album cover. In the picture, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr still have those youthful faces, and John Lennon and George Harrison are looking sharp too. Sure, they don’t seem thrilled, but who really smiles while casually walking, right? πΆββοΈπΆββοΈ
Not too long ago, while glued to my smartphone, I missed a step and twisted my ankle pretty badly. Ouch! π¬

Luckily, no bones were broken, but even now, as the weekend hits, I still can’t walk properly. Be careful out there! Anyway, the next day, as I stepped outside to catch a cab, a breeze hit me. How long has it been since I felt a breeze like that? It wasn’t cold, but it was definitely refreshing. π¬οΈ
‘Should I take a little walk then?’
The weather forecast said it’ll be over 30Β°C all next week, so who knows when I’ll get to feel this kind of breeze again? I popped in my earbuds and played Abbey Road’s Here Comes The Sun. It’s the album that instantly pops into my head when I think of walking, and this track is the perfect walking companion. Just hearing the intro guitar lifts my spirits, and before I know it, I’m humming along. πΆ Sure, the song’s protagonist is waiting for sunny days, unlike me, but we’re both waiting for something different, something just around the corner. And we’re both about to face it head-on.
Though I couldn’t walk much because of my ankle, it was a delightful stroll. Now, I can eagerly await the fall, counting the days with excitement, can’t I? π
