G-Dragon’s Comeback

Watched G-Dragon’s performance at the 2024 MAMA. It was like a style explosion! 💥 His performance truly left me in awe, showing the difference between the ordinary and the new era. The comebacks of older idols often felt like they were cashing in on nostalgia, showing their backs to the audience when unsure. But with G-Dragon, there was no shadow of an old idol’s return. Maybe it’s because Taeyang joined the show? (Oh, snap!) His gaze, the way he slicks his hair back, the gestures during his rap—all were pure swagger. It’s cliché, but South Korea really owns G-Dragon, and there’s nothing more to say…

First Snow and Below Zero

Suddenly, it poured like crazy. 🌧️ Some crosswalks turned into mini-lakes, and people had to wade through as if performing a ritual, soaking their shoes in the holy waters. It was touching to see no one resisted it. Some tried to jump over, but ended up with wet knees and shoes. The procession of people slowly walking through the water reminded me of lemmings on a mission. I respectfully turned aside to cross, as I don’t follow any rituals. Anyway, after that, the cold hit us hard.

Conjunctivitis

Out of the blue, my conjunctivitis vanished. 🎉 It was so sudden, it felt like magic. Even after drinking, my eyes didn’t turn red. Maybe my corneas got thicker? (Though cornea thickness and redness might not be related.) I still have a pile of eye drops on my desk from my last doctor’s visit. Strangely, even though I longed to recover for months, now I kind of miss it. It made me look like a hardworking person, and when my eyes were slightly red, it seemed like I was moved by something. Definitely doesn’t feel like being a mindlessly healthy fool. But no way do I wish to go back to that.

Tinnitus

With conjunctivitis gone, tinnitus decided to drop by. 🙉 It might have started after reading a moving story online about a researcher who cured their tinnitus after four years. Can it be true? After reading, I wondered, ‘Do I have it too?’ And then I started hearing a faint high-pitched sound. It was inaudible in noisy areas but noticeable when I lay down to sleep. I wasn’t even sure if it was real, or if I just didn’t notice it before because I’m a bit dull. But the sound grew clearer, and now I sometimes notice it during daily life. Annoying. By the way, turns out the touching story that ‘gifted’ me this tinnitus was just an ad to sell medicine. 😒
